Cats Protection Belfast Adoption Centre
Belfast, United Kingdom, BT16 1UE
The Belfast Adoption Centre is a temporary home to approximately 150 cats and kittens at any one time; all of whom are waiting patiently for their forever adoptive homes. The Belfast Adoption Centre cares for all its feline residents until they find their new adoptive families, no matter how long it takes, and will never put a healthy cat to sleep.
The cats and kittens in the Belfast Adoption Centre come from a variety of backgrounds including stray cats, welfare and mistreatment cases and cats whose previous families can no longer look after them due to a change in circumstances. Whilst in the care of the Belfast Adoption Centre every feline resident receives expert veterinary care and lots of TLC from Cats Protection staff and volunteers. Upon adoption, every cat and kitten will have had the following treatments: - Thorough veterinary examination - Vaccinated against common feline diseases - Neutered - Microchipped - Treated for worms and fleas
The Belfast Adoption Centre does not receive any government or lottery funding and solely relies on public donations to allow it continue the vital work that it carries out. On average the centre will spend upwards of £250 on each cat and kitten during its stay. The centre therefore kindly asks each adopter for an adoption fee of £75 per adopted adult cat and £95 for kittens to somewhat contribute towards these costs. Each adopted cat will also receive 4 weeks free insurance from Petplan.
